From the OE help files. You have to use stationery
With Outlook Express stationery, you can create attractive messages for both
e-mail and newsgroups. Stationery is a template that can include a
background image, unique text font colors, and custom margins.

To apply stationery to all your outgoing messages

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Compose tab.
Under Stationery, select the Mail or News check box (or both), and then
click Select.
To apply stationery to an individual message

On the Message menu, point to New Message Using, and then select a
stationery style.
To apply or change stationery after you start a message

On the Format menu, point to Apply Stationery, and then select a stationery
style.
Note

You can only use stationery in messages that are sent in Rich Text (HTML)
format. To make sure HTML formatting is turned on, on the Format menu in a
new message window, click Rich Text (HTML). A black dot appears by the
command when it is selected.

Thank you for your reply. I have done as you suggested, bit I still don't
know to set margins. Thanks again.

Outlook Express uses Internet Explorer's print engine.

To set the Page Margins for Outlook Express.
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
3. In the Margins boxes, type the margin measurements in inches.

Wes:

Thanks for your reply. I did as suggested. Nothing changed in Outlook
Express. Currently Internet Explorer margins are set as: left and right
O.25" and top and bottom .75. I thought you could get a narrower margin for
email. I really don't know what to change or how much. I am relatively new
to OE and IE. Thanks again.

Hi Lavert,

It depends on your printer. You can keep making them smaller until you find
that you cannot change them any more.

With mine the smallest margins I can get are...
Left & Right 0.25"
Top 0.2"
Bottom 0.46"

Thanks again. I can change the margins IN IE same as yours. It works using
OE with Win XP Home Edition. I was wanting it to also work using OE with
Win 98SE, but apparently it will not.

Lavert,

I dumped Windows 98 quite a while ago. :-)

Check in a IE6 or OE6 group.
