I installed Outlook2003 on top of Office2000 as a trial
for our company. I had error messages of bad/missing DLL
files. Outlook2003 opens but will not send emails.
Contacted Microsoft Support and had a dialog of seemingly
20 emails with them. Much reassurance of their intention
to resolve my problem etc, no success. Followed their
instructions to the letter: running repair program,
deleting registry entries, reloading Office2000 and
Outlook2003. Still no fix. Now they won't even respond
to my emails asking what I should do next!! I guess
they've hit a real problem that they have no fix for. I
notice other posts to this group with similar issues.
My advice for anyone with Office2000 who is thinking of
upgrading to Outook2003 (it's the only part of Office2003
that my team thought worth having) has to be - DON'T DO
IT!!! Wait until you see a fix for this problem.
