I have emailed my work computer a link to a web page from
my home computer and it will not attach the link. it gives
me "outlook blocked access to the following in fear of
damage""

How can I get that to stop???

Because secure versions of Outlook block shortcut files, I recommend that you use a little free add-in for Internet Explorer when you want to send someone a link to a page. You can get MailTo_URL from http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#mailto. It adds an "Email Page" command to the right-click menu in IE and uses the title of the page for the subject of the mail message.

Make sure that the registry entry you create to tell IE where to find the application matches the location where you save the program.

Or see http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm to change the file blocking settings.

Thanks Sue, I will check in to that. Just to clarify, I
want to be able to see links that people send me. They are
typically not their sites, just ones they come across.

But I will check that site out.

thanks again for your help. have a great day
