Outlook2000 Name resolution problem with Vista

I have just got a new laptop with Vista and have installed Outlook2000 (I
know it isn't great with Vista). Name resolution used to work fine in XP
when you type a name in the recipient box it would automatically resolve and
if there were multiples you would either get a green underline or a red if it
didn't match. Now it brings up a list of choices each time rather than
attempting to just use the most recently used address. I also had to import
my outlook contacts into the Vista Mail contacts for the address book to
appear in Outlook2000. Anyone know how to get the automatic name resolution
to work properly again or is it like this because of Vista?

You failed to state your version accurately. Internet Mail Only or
Corporate/Workgroup? The former would be expected to exhibit this behavior
since it actually used Outlook Express, which no longer exists on Vista.

Thanks Russ. This time when I installed Outlook2000 I did it for Internet
mail only, when on previous installs I did Corporate/Workgroup. That
explains it then. I didn't realise it would be a problem. Thanks for your
help.
