My OS is xp pro with office xp. every time i open
outlook i get a window titled ms mail with blocks
requesting postoffice, mailbox, and password. i click
the x and it informs me that i won't be able to
send/receive. I click ok, it disapears and then i'm
online with the ability to send/receive. i am using a
dsl connection. is there anyway to disable this? there
are two other profiles set up on this computer, when they
open outlook it opens with no problems.

Since other profiles don't have this problem, have you considered creating a
new profile for yourself?
