I just installed outlook 2003 and can not receive e-
mail. it still goes to outlook express. any suggestions?

1) Make sure Outlook is listed as your default mail program here: Control
Panel | Internet Options | Programs tab.

2) Remove all mail accounts from Outlook Express (unless you can't bear to
part with them for some reason). Also make sure your e-mail account is set
up properly in Outlook.

3) Disable automatic checking for new mail in OE.

4) Only open OE if you're going to use it for newsreading (Outlook doesn't
have its own newsreader, it uses OE for that), and either open the
newsreader through Outlook (View | Go To | News) or open OE with the
/newsonly switch. This way, all mail functions in OE are disabled anyway,
so there's no chance of using them by mistake.

I did all that is suggested here and now I can not
receive e-mail in either OE or Outlook. Any further
suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you and Happy

Then you will need to give more information. How did you set up your mail
accounts in Outlook? What method are you using to try to download the
mail -- are you trying to have Outlook grab it automatically or are you
clicking Send/Receive? Do you get any error messages, and if so, what is
the EXACT text of these messages? The more info you can give us, the more
likely we'll be able to find the problem.

You must have missed my last reply. What I said was:
