Hi -

I am having difficulty in Outlook seeing another user's
mail. I can tell Outlook 2000 SR-1 to give a certain user
permissions to the mailbox, but when I log in as that
certain user I only see the mailbox of the person and not
their mail. I don't see Inbox, Sent items, Outbox or
anything. What am I missing? Thanks for the help.

Configuring Outlook to open an additional mailbox is a 2 step process. You've gotten part 1 right. Here's the other half:

1) Log in as the user who has been granted permission to the other mailbox.
2) Go to Tools menu > Services.
3) In the Services screen, highlight Microsoft Exchange Server, then click the Properties button.
4) In the Microsoft Exchange Server screen, go to the Advanced tab.
5) Under Mailboxes - Open these additional mailboxes, click the Add button.
6) In the Add Mailbox screen, type in the name of the other mailbox.
7) Click OK 3 times to close out all of the open screens.
8) The additional mailbox is now displayed in your Folder List.

An alternate method for accessing any of the main folders in another mailbox is File menu > Open > Other User's Folder.

These settings reside in the local Outlook profile, not on the server. IE - you need to set this up on the user's machine logged in as them.

Hope that helps.
