I use outlook and keep copies of all correspondence in
seperate files. Before sending I copy to the relevant
file. Some times these copies are dated and are therefore
kept in date order, mostly they are undated and therefore
not kept in order. There is no pattern as to which are
dated and which are not. Why is this? I accept that I
could copy from my sent box but this is laborious

The ones that are undated probably have not been saved yet.
