got new computer
want to move contacts info from old outlook to new
outlook.
attempted but only names came, no email addresses etc.
help

copy the old .pst file to the new computer.

In the new Outlook, choose File...Open....Outlook Data File.

Now both mailboxes will be open. Drag the old contacts into the new
contacts folder.

close the old mailbox.

Do you have a CD burner on both systems. If yes, copy to CD, the bring to
the new computer and copy back to the hard drive. If no burner, do you have
any sort of backup on your old computer. If yes, what type of media? You
could conceivably move that to the new computer and restore that one file.

Other options, network the two computers and move the files across the
network. There's also direct cable connection but that is problematic and I
don't recommend it.

FineSplit v1.05 [5kB] finesplit.exe
Splits a file into floppy sized parts and creates a merging batch file to reassemble the pieces into a copy of the original file.

In addition to the others, you could try uploading to a web server (does
your ISP provide free web space to you - most do) or email the file to
yourself and retrieve your mail on the new machine.
