Hello Everyone:

I am having a very unusual problem. I am unable to send email in HTML or
richtext format, only in Plain Text format. I also cannot reply to any
messages sent in HTML/Rich Text format, even if it is converted to plain
text before trying to reply. Here are some of the steps I have tried:

Multiple SMTP servers have been used. Both completely independent.
Office as been completely reinstalled
Outlook and Word have been independently reinstalled
Outlook Express has been tried with the exact same results
Can send a brand new message using plain text format
Cannot reply to any message, regardless of if it's converted to plain text

A barrage of error messages are given, sometimes server timeout, sometimes
server connection reset.

Has anyone ever heard of a problem like this? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Regards,
Jarrod Wood

Could you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file after this occurs?

Hi Jeff:

Thank you for your response. I have tried it both with and without Norton
Antivirus running. Just to be sure, I completely uninstalled Norton and the
problem persists. Any more suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Jarrod Wood
