I am trying to clear the history of previously opened
mailboxes from Outlook. In Outlook when you click FILE |
OPEN | ... You have the options :-

Selected Items
Other User's Folder ...
Outlook Data File ...
and under these a File History for mailboxes opened
previously.

HOW do I clear this history? I am desperate for this as
after a recent server migration to 2003 some users are
finding that the items in this history produce errors
when opened, although newly added entries to the same
mailboxes work fine!!

My email address is
nbalchin"{removethisplease}"@tresham.ac.uk

Many thanks,

Nathan

Open a lot of mailboxes from someone else so that the current ones drop of
the list ;-)

Recreating the mail profile solves it as well.

You can edit the registry as well but these keys weren't made for manual
editing so you might corrupt the mailprofile in the process.
Anway; it's stored here;
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles]

Tips of the month:
-Setting Permissions on a Mailbox
-Create an Office XP CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 3

Many thanks for the help, can't believe I didn't think to
do that in the first place!!!
