I see that there are some other people experiencing this
problem lately, but no one has replied to their posts yet.

Anyway, starting on Saturday Aug 2nd, Oulook XP has been
locking up and freezing when I attempt to view e-mails
that are in my Inbox or any other folders. I have not
made any changes to my system, other than downloading the
most recent Windows Updates. Since other people are
having similar problems I believe that there may be a
bigger issue than something simply corrupted on my
system. Just to be sure, I completely uninstalled Office
XP, reinstalled, and re-applied Service Pack 2.

Please help!

Did you disable the instant messenger integration? (See Tools | Options |
Other)

have you run the inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe) against your *.pst file(s)?
(you also might want to run a scandisk/chkdsk to rule out any hard drive
problems.)

I am experiencing the same problem a/o Sunday August
17th. Did you get a solution?
thnx
Marcia

I started having the Outlook freezing problem Sunday
evening 8/17, and I had installed the following files on
8/14 at 3:27AM:
WinFax Basic Edition Message Manager
Send New Fax
Program Setup
Install Directory
CoverPage Wizard
Controller

Do you think that this could be my problem and if so, can
you tell me how to find these files to delte them? They
do not show up when I went to the add/delete program.

Thank you.
Marcia
