While Outlook XP remains open, any passwords I enter and
save into the various accounts i have (using Tools - Email
Accounts and then choosing Change) will remain saved. Once
I exit Outlook, these passwords are lost even though the
box to save them remains checked.
I have followed a MS KB article that took me into the
registry and removed keys under the Protected Service
Provider key, or something like that, and also checked
permissions on that key.
Supposedly after reboot, that solution should fix the
problem, but it doesn't. Even after recreating those
passwords and rechecking to save, the same problem exists
and I notice that the keys that I deleted per the KB
article have not been automatically recreated as I imagine
they were supposed to be.
Any help?
