I've got got a problem which Office XP on an older computer that
belongs to my mother.
It was taking a long time to load each day so I tried turning on
Autoarchive. Weeks later I realized it was not working.
There is a group of several hundred messages in the inbox that are the
oldest messages there. They cannot be deleted or moved to another
folder. It just pops up a little error message that tells me to try
to restart Outlook.
I've tried doing a repair on Office XP but that did not help.
I've moved all of the movable messages to a temporary folder. Is it
safe to delete inbox and then try to create a new inbox? Any other
suggestions on how to deal with a corrupted inbox?
