Hello,
I have had a mishap with loading an upated Norton security, and finally had
to get them to walk me thru a complete delete process. Now when I run
outlook it starts up and then it starts trying to load ms office project
addon, and then it cancels and gives me an error "Outlook has not been
installed for current user" Please run setup to install the application.
I grab my office 2003 pro cd and try to repair office and it errors during
install.

What the heck did I do??
I may have deleted some files trying to resovle my problem with Norton?

Any help would be appreciated.

Open Control Panel's Add and Remove Programs, locate Outlook (or Office) and
click Change. Select the option to repair.

as an update:
I went ahead and removed Office MS Project, and now I get the same error

Thanks for the resonse.
I followed your guideline and after selcting option to "detect and repair
errors in my current office installation", another screen came up saying
"repairing office"
it first said on the status line "validating install".........then a install
bar showed and it started doing something...?? but seveal minutes later I
got an error message "Installation Ended Prematurely Because of an Error"
I clicked ok and another erro oc poped up and said "Fatal Error During
Installation"

I clicked ok, and everything closed and I was at the desktop.

Tried repeating only saying to install instead of repair, and got the same
errors.

any other suggestions are welcome and thanks for helping.

Use your restore to a ealier time recovery on your desktop . Go back to just
before you first installed MSOFFICE and after your computer comes back up
everything will be back to normal . I do not use Norton because it clashes
with too many programs that I run , so I started using McAfee instead and I
don't have all those problems anymore . After you get Norton off try
installing MSOFFICE again and it should load right up and shouldn't have any
problems . I don't think your Norton is going to run with your software
MSOFFICE. Hope that helps you . I also have a HP and had a lot of clashes to
work out.
