You would normally have to change the name of the SMTP server in your
account settings to be the server owned by whatever ISP you're using when
out of town. As an anti-spam measure, most (if not all) ISPs will require
you to use the SMTP server they own. If this is what you're facing, you
should be getting error messages concerning "Relaying not allowed" or "This
email address is not on my list of approved recipients" or the like.
