I am a recent convert from Eudora. I have four accounts, that I am checking with Outlook 2002. One is an IMAP account. When I set up the accounts, naturally I clicked the "remember password" checkbox. And yet every time I start up the Outlook application, it prompts for all four passwords. Any way around this?

Your password is not retained in Outlook 2002 and Outlook Express

So those solutions didn't work. Did I mention I'm running XP? On the first solution, there's no "Find" option in the start menu. So I used "Search" - I was only able to find one of the three (or is it four?) files the page says you need to change. I changed that one file. I then went to regedit and deleted that the files recommended by that page (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Protected Storage), but then was unable to find IE6 Service Pack One. I think I may have already installed it. Anyway, I reentered all the requisite passwords and restarted. Outlook is exactly the same. The other option didn't say anything about WinXP so I didn't try it. Any suggestions?
