outlook won't merge to word

When I try to print an envelope in Word, I get the message "Outlook is not
the default server. " But it is set as the default server. I was getting
"go to Microsoft Exchange" (someone else said to turn off Outlook as email,
which I did). But still can't get Word to get the data from my contact list
in Outlook. Tried merging from Outlook to Word. The list shows up in Word
merge editting but not on the envelope itself. Help please!
 
Your post does not make sense.
You cannot turn Outlook off as your default email program. It must be your
default mail program for a mail merge to work. Make sure it is.
Post the error message more accurately.
Make sure your Outlook and Word versions match.
Tell us whether you are using a local data file or Exchange server.
