I updated my computer with XP Small Business and now have 2 outlook icons on
my desktop. If I click on the "old" one I get the message "Cannot start
Microsoft Outlook. Unable to display the selected folder or item. Could not
open the item. Try again." If I click on the "new" icon I get the message
"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. Could not open the item. Try
again.".

Can anyone help me get this straightened out? Do I take Outlook out of the
computer and start again and, if so, how do I reload my data? I use Windows
One Care for my weekly backup so the data is there I assume.

As you can tell I am not very computer literate.

Control Panel->Mail Icon->Profiles. Create a new one.

When I click on the e-mail accounts button nothing happens. I am not able to
try to set up a new e-mail account.

Did I say to click on the email accounts button? Did I say anything at all about accounts?

Click on the Profiles button to create a new mail profile. Accounts != Profiles.

No you didn't mention accounts, that was my mistake. When I try to set up a
new profile (the current one is "outlook") I get the error message "Unknown
error 0x80040154". If I could I would uninstall the outlook and try to
reinstall it but I can't find anywhere where Outlook isn't tied to Office.

How are you trying to set up the new mail profile?

I went this way: "Start-Control Panel-Mail-Profiles-Show Profiles" and found
the following. "The following profiles . . ." and Outlook was highlighted in
the box. At the bottom there was "Always use this profile" and it had
Outlook there also.

Also, if I go to Start-All Programs-Microsoft Office-Outlook 2003 I get the
following messages:
1. Line 298, Char 1, "Error-Libray not found", Code 0, url outlook today

2. "C:\Documents & Settings\Nelson Burns\
Application\data\Microsoft\Addins\Outlvba-dll" is not a valid Office add-in
