In Window Explorer, when I click on send 'this page' to someone, an
error window pops up saying that Outlook won't accept the an
attachment because it might be a virus.

Is there anyway I can unblock this feature?

Thanks

Mike

Either unblock url-files (not recommended)

Or take a different approach in sending links;
1) just copy and paste the addressbar of IE into the mail
2) use the following tool so you can rightclick in the middle of a page and
choose E-mail page (mind the registry settings before applying)

Outlook has no problem *sending* .url link files. The warning you see is that some people that you send to may not be able to open it. You can't unblock settings on those other people's machines.

A good solution is to send a text link, instead of a .lnk file. You can get the free MailTo_URL tool from http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#mailto. It adds an "Email Page" command to the right-click menu in IE and uses the title of the page for the subject of the mail message.

Make sure that the registry entry you create to tell IE where to find the application matches the location where you save the program.
