Outlook with Windows Messenger

I have moved from Outlook Express to Outlook. OE would
show the status of my Messenger contacts by means of a
red or green icon in the contacts pane. Does Outlook have
this facility ?
 
Not in the contacts pane. Outlook 2002 does offer some instant messenger
integration, but I'm not sure if you open a message if the icon will be
green or red to indicate if a user is online/offline.
