Using Windows NT and Outlook 2002. In attempting to
archive and copy .pst files, something has gone awry and
Outlook will not longer open. I have used the Office
repair on the installation disk, which did not help.
Then, I reinstalled Office, which did not help. I suspect
that the program is having difficulty reading various
archived and copied .pst files, which are in different
drives and various folders. I had run scanpst on all
the .pst files before this problem occurred and they were
all fine. Any thoughts will be much appreciated. Thanks.

No error message at all. The outlook logo box comes up and
stays up. I have let it sit for as long as 20 minutes,
and still no error message. Also, my mistake, I am using
Outlook 2000 not 2002. And thanks.

And, after hanging for 1 hour and 20 minutes, it opened
and works perfectly. Have not closed it yet, as I need to
catch up with messages, so I don't know if it will hang
again. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Not much to go on here with no error message and no specific information as
to what you changed that created the problem. Outlook usually throws a
specific error message when it can't find its information store.
