Outlook will not download mail

Outlook has stop receiving mail. Connects with the
mail server but times out with the error code 0X800CCC19.
Have disabled Mcafee anti-virus and still receive the same
message. The computer is a Dell Dimension 2350 with
Windows XP pro. Was working fine and then just stopped
receiving. Have tried the email address on another
computer and connect with the email server.

Internet Explorer 6 is connecting to the internet with no
problems. Only Outlook is having the problem.

Any suggestions?
 
I too am having the same problems as Ken. Also my Outlook
Express is behaving the same why with the same error code.
My ISP sees nothing wrong on there end because I can
download my email on my MAC:), but need email to come in
on my PC.
Don't like have to use web mail!
 
I just started using Outlook and I HATE it! It will not
send or receive email. Every so often one will go through
but most of the time not. It goes in my outbox. Then a few
seconds later I get an email from system admon, it was
undeliverable. Then a box pops up with: TCP/IP connection
was unexpectedly terminated by your mail server. If this
problem persists please contact your LAN admin or your
ISP. I checked with Verizon they say it's nothing on their
end. They said it was probably my virus scan. They said
turn it off to send mail but that doesn't work either. No
email ever goes if it has an attachment. I am receiving
some email but totally can't send. I am ready to hang it
up already. Everyone wants to blame the other and no one
has an answer. So I spent all this money for puters,
programs and such and it doesn't work anyway. What crappy
service.

Are you using McAfee version 7? A recent update to their virus definitions
has caused a problem that they are addressing on their technical support
forums. Try looking to them for an answer if you have McAfee version 7.
