Outlook Web Access- opening Word attachments

Sometimes when I open a Word attachment in an OWA email: (Word is
already open)

Intead of displaying the doc, the Word task button on the taskbar
starts blinking orange and blue. Then I click on that button and then
it will open the Word doc.

Why would it do that? I would prefer it just opens the doc.

Outlook Web Access is a feature of Exchange and is not Outlook.
Consequently, you should ask your question in
microsoft.public.exchange.clients
