First, install Outlook. It should detect that you have an account in
Outlook Express and migrate that account. Next, use Control Panel's Mail
applet to add a PST (Outlook Data File) to the mail profile that should be
there and that contains your imported account. Then start Outlook.

In Outlook, click File>Import and Export>Import Internet Mail and
Addresses>Next. Select Outlook Express 4x, 5x, 6x, _uncheck_ "Import Mail",
and click Next. Click Next again, then Finish. This shouls import your
contacts and any rules you have

Open Outlook Express and click File>Export>Messages, click OK, then OK
again. This should import any mail you have. You can then do one of
several things:

1) No longer use Outlook Express
2) Remove the mail account in Outlook Express so that if you do run it, it
can't get mail
3) Open the account properties in Outlook Express and uncheck the box
labeled "Include this account when checking for new messages".
(all the above will prevent Outlook Express from receiving mail)
4) Modify the account in both Outlook Express and in Outlook to leave copies
of messages on the server. This will allow you to continue to use Outlook
Express to get mail and also allow you to use Outlook to get the same mail
so that new mail is received by both.

thank you!!!
