Hi,

I've done installation for more than 100 users with Eudora.
It is pretty easy for job, I just need put a shortcut for it and add the
user's home directory e.g c:\eudora\eudora.exe g:\email

Recently, I've been asking from most users to change the Eudora to MS
Outlook.
Totally, I don't have any idea how to do the mapping stuff.

Anyone has experience or can someone refer me to a website?

TIA

Might want to post in an Outlook group for best results.

You'll need to set up mail profiles for each user....Outlook should remember
the location of the PST file it uses for delivery (unless you're using
Exchange server, which with 100 users I should think you can justify!)

You'll probably also want to use roaming profiles so the mail profile
information follows the users around....

Note that MS doesn't support accessing PST files from a network drive, and
this may give you problems if you are indeed using PST files.

thank you very much for your answer.

i'm afraid, i still can't understand about PST.
'doesnt support accessing PST files from a network drive.......'

but, i think that what i want to do right now.
my mail server is mdaemon. all emails should be kept on a server and inside
their home directory.
i've also been using roaming profiles and it works great.

from your explanation: outlook works with exchange only?

This is what is not supported. See
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;297019 (KB 297019).
You will run into performance problems, and likely data corruption at some
point.

As I said, if you have 100 users, it is probably time to do some research on
Exchange server - www.microsoft.com/exchange should get you started.

No - it works with Exchange, POP accounts, IMAP accounts, etc....
