I cannot access Outlook 2002 when I connect to my LAN via
VPN. I had someone test it from a different PC with
different ISP and the same VPN connection and they were
able to access my mailbox. I have installed all Office
updates but still received the same error message. Then I
uninstalled and reinstalled MS Office but still came
across the same problem. Can someone assist me on this?

Thanks,
Anna

Sounds like name resolution problems. Can you ping the Exchange server, by
name, from the affected workstation (with the VPN connected)?

Aloha Ben,

I can ping the Exchange server by name and run a trace
route. Would you happen to have any other way to test
network connectivity via VPN.

Mahalo nui loa,

I had the same problem at home, when connection to my office outlook via
vpn. Then i realized that my user had no right to logon at that time. It was
successfully logging on to vpn server, but the account on the exchange
server was not letting me logon. (vpn server= win2003, Exchange server
nt4&exch. 5.5)

Did u get some kind of a logon error ? or unreachable server error ? Any
clues in the event viewer ?

See ya ,

Are you running Outlook on the remote client or via some kind of
Citrix/Terminal Services kinda thing? Have you tried RPCPING to make sure
that works?
