We are about to upgrade from Office 2000 to Office 2003.
In 2000 I created a Public Contacts file and added several
fields on a second page for our specific use. I noticed
that when I exported the Outlook Public Contacts file, it
would not export our specific-use fields. We are about to
upgrade to 2003 and I was wondering whether I would have
to recreate all that information. Can I do one of the
following:
1. create the specific-use fields on the form, then move
the data from Office 2000; or
2. create a .pst file to export the existing data, re-
create the fields on the new form, and import from
the .pst file
3. when we move data from the 2000 program, will it
automatically convert/copy the forms I created and move
that information into 2003?

I would appreciate any help.

It's a public folder. The data resides on the server. Upgrading your client
application won't affect the data at all. Therefore, there's no need to
export or do anything at all with the data in that folder.
