I am also having trouble customizing Microsoft Today...
When I click on the "Customize Outlook Today" button.
Nothing Happens. I have ALL my tasks for the next 5 years
printing out... If anyone knows whats up, please include
me in your response.

Also, does anyone know where to get new calendar templates
for Outlook. I use this calendar for NewsLetters and would
like a simple daily calendar that doesnt need so much line
spacing.

Thanks

2) http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/20030723.htm - get Olcalndr (linked
there). If that is not suitable, try www.slipstick.com for additional
options..

The issue is with Outlook 98/2000 and IE cumulative
updates (critical security patches). When I install the IE
update it renders the "Options" button on the Outlook
Today page inoperable. Previously, to change Outlook Today
options I had to uninstall the update, change the options
and reinstall the update. Another point is I had to
remember to uninstall the previous security update before
installing the latest because one can only uninstall the
last update.

OR

Read Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 820575 (OL2000:
You Cannot Customize Outlook Today After You Install
Critical Update 813489 for Internet Explorer).

This is for Outlook 2000 but it also works for me and I am
running Outlook 98. I have made two reg files and I merge
(import) them into the registry to toggle the Options
button on and off. As you read in 820575 it is best for
security purposes to leave this off and only toggle on
long enough to change options.
I saved these two reg files as:
Outlook Today Options Off.reg
Outlook Today Options On.reg

The content of these two files is below. Copy between the
dotted lines and paste into Notepad. Name and save the
files with a .reg extension. You can then toggle the
Outlook Today Options on and off.

1. Close Outlook.
2. Merge (import) the reg file.
3. Open Outlook.

Remember to merge Options Off reg file after making your
changes to Outlook Today for security reasons.

Outlook Today Options Off.reg
---------------
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Application Compatibility]
"Outlook.exe"=dword:00000000

Outlook Today Options On.reg

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Application Compatibility]
"Outlook.exe"=dword:00000001
