I have Outlook and want to upgrade to Windows Live on my Vista Business.

I understand that Windows live is an upgrade to Outlook Express. What am I
missing by upgrading to Windows Live from Outlook and not Outlook Express.

Please advise on how to do this.

WLM is a replacement for Outlook Express, which is not supported on Vista or
Win7
There are some that would consider going from Outlook to WLM as being a
downgrade

You mention Outlook and Outlook Express. Since Outlook Express is not part
of Vista, surely you must mean Outlook. If you have a licensed copy of
Outlook and it is working (some earlier versions may not under Vista), and
since you are apparently running a business - keep Outlook. If you want to
see some of the issues known to WLMail, visit that newsgroup at:
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
Windows Live is a whole suite of products and most of those will not be of
use to you for business. Contacts and Calendars are a frequent headache.
