Does anyone know how to start outlook 2007 without the task list.
Catch is, needs to be done without opening outlook.

Since a few weeks ago - the task pane continually says loading... cpu util
is 85 - 95%
can open emails from search window and send - so i know it's the task
pane...
safe mode opens it still - have tried reinstalling and repairing - just
starts again with task pane!!

any help??? would love it if someone can help because i need to use
outlook!!

thanks

Hi,

I had the same problem a while back and it took me a week to identify
that the problem (CPU Hog) was related to my calendar (in OL2007 Tasks
are very much integrated with the calendar).
My attempts at reinstallation etc. met with the same results as yours.

how i fixed it was by opening Outlook and going to Tasks view (even
though the CPU was at 95-100%) and then selecting all tasks and either
marking them complete or deleting them altogether.
that worked for me.
Does your OL not respond at all?

Regards,
Nabeel
