Outlook stopped receiving messages, but still sends.

After my Office was activated (two weeks after installing it), Outlook
stopped working correctly. It sends, but doesn't receive. Nothing happens
when I click the Send/Receive button and I have to choose <Accept> for the
agreement every time I open it (and again when I send a message).

That just tells you to click the Send/Receive button on the toolbar. When I
do that, nothing happens. The problem has to be software related, why would
I still be getting the Accept/Decline message on the activation screen
(although it tells me I'm already activated)?

Try creating a new Outlook profile; new profiles can and have cured many
really bizarre problems.

Have the same problem as Des. Have tried to create *numerous* new
profiles from both inside Outlook and the Control panel but the shit
will not work. Even with entirely new pst files send/receive does not
work.

This stinks. Here I pay money for a software package and still have to
spend 5 hours (so far) trying to find out why the email client cannot
send and receive emails. MICROSOFT, you think we can manage without
this function and should stop complaining?

If you purchased Office recently, you have 90 days of free support from
Microsoft. GIve them a call.

Brian, it has been over 90 days for me and I am having a lot of difficulty
with outlook. Cannot get it to do anything with out errors popping up. I have
deleted it and redownloaded it from Microsoft site. But still having
problems. Any suggestions.

You'll need to me much more precise in describing the problem, including
posting the exact text of the errors and exactly what you're doing when they
occur. I also recommend starting your own thread and no piggy-backing on
someone else's.

Reinstalling Outlook made the difference (probably together with
recreation of mail profiles). I got the features I wanted:
* send mail
* receive mail

That's what I call a killer application.
