Outlook stays in Memory

Is there a patch to fix the problem of Outlook 2000 staying in resident
memory.

After getting in and out of the program a few times, it will no longer load.
Checking the windows task manager reveals several different instances of
Outlook. Apparently, it's not unloading itself when the program is exited.
A common problem for me regardless of the PC or operating system used.
