Are there any articles out there about Outlook 2003's SPAM filter in
comparison to some of the 3rd party options out there? Does anyone here
have any 'real world' experience using a 3rd party and then Outlook 2003's
built it option?

Thanks,

Jeff D.

Spam filters are always dealing with a moving target. The only numbers that
really count are the ones that work on the spam that *you* get. That said, I
did some comparison testing last fall and found that the ones I tested --
Outlook 2003, SpamNet, and Norton Anti-spam -- differed very little.

Ease of use is also very important. The best spam filter is one you trust
and forget about. Any spam filter that requires you to do laborious reviews
of suspected spam items does not rank high on my productivity meter.

Also be sure to stay current with the latest filters for your spam filter,
just as you would anti-virus filters.
