Outlook slows Word and Excel down (2)

Hi there

I've encountered a very annoying problem using Outllook 2000. When I have opened my outlook and then open any document made in Word or Excel, it takes about 20 seconds before it's open. It just started doing this one fine day.

Could you please help me, I never thought waiting 20 seconds could be like waiting an eternity.

I've allready posted this question, but the answer given to me didn't help. It said that Norton Antivirus made
an update that didn't include a VeriSign certificate or something. I tried the solution that was on Symantec's website
but this did nothing.

I'll try to explain the problem a little more. When my outlook is closed, it's no problem whatsoever opening Word or Excel, however when Outlook is opened that's when it all starts.
When I close it again and try to open W or E once more: NO PROBLEM... I know it's very strange

Could someone please help me out?

Try remove the Office Add-in for Norton Anti-virus.

Removed the office addin, doesn't seem to work a bit. reinstalled norton but this didn't seem to be the solution either.

I'm thinking about reinstalling the pc. Just to make an end to this.

These two steps helped me.

You might try them one at a time.

STEP 1
A. In Norton AV click Options, then select Miscellaneous.
B. Uncheck "Enable Office Plug-in"
C. Click OK, close Norton AV and reboot.

STEP 2
A. In Internet Explorer go to
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab
Uncheck "Check for server certificate revocation" in the SECURITY section
(last section).
