Outlook should have GUI setting to show "next few days" in Calenda

This is a very fundamental functionality for Outlook Calender Viewing.

There are four kinds of views provided: Day, Work Week, Week, Month. The
work week or week is most useful to me, but at the end of the week, I can not
easily the coming Monday's or Tuesday's appointments because of my small
horizon. So I have to manually see the next week's appointments.

There should be a view which will allow something like "Coming Few Days".

I tried to look into everywhere in the Calendar, and looked at "Customize my
View" in the Calender, but could not find the setting in the GUI.

When I searched the Outlook Online Help, I found that I have to press the
"Alt+5" key combination in the calendar to see the coming five days in the
view.

Now this setting is not intuitive, and is not available as a setting in the
GUI, so one cannot discover this fundamental thing unless he searches the
help.

I suggest having that as a standard view of the calender, or if not that,
then adding this functionality in the "Customize my View" dialog box in the
Calendar.

Use the right and left arrow keys to move to the next week or day view.
Also, your "few" may not be my "few" so I doubt that this would be a useful
feature.

On a work week view (and sometimes a full week view) which I (and many many
others) use, if I keep pressing right arrow to slide off the edge, then I see
the next whole week -- I cannot scroll..!!!!

Basically on a Thursday, I want to see:

Thurs, Fri, Mon, Tue, Wed

as the days vertically.

There are two ways to do this: One is to press Alt+5. (here my "few" can be
changed to your "few" by changing the number you press with Alt), and the
second is select the dates via mouse on the calendar.

After you do this, you get the view desired, and also the scrolling ability
(in granularity of days) enables you to slide that 5-day view over the
calender in movements of days.

This is the perfect view (for me, and I am sure many others).

But the pressing of Alt+5 is not intuitive. And selecting dates via the
mouse on the calendar is also cumbersome.

What you need is another view besides the standard 4, called the "Sliding
Window" view, which will allow customizing the width of the window, and
whether the weekends will show up in that window. And then you should be able
to scroll the view window around the calendar.

The functionality is there, but the access is via Alt+5, which should be
intuitively depicted as a standard user-choosable view.

PS: by "window" I mean in abstract terms, not an actual Microsoft Windows'
window.
 
Use the Date Navigator (the little calendar bit) and with your mouse you can
wipe a few days eg next Mon/tues/wed. You can also CTRL Click and see any
days you pick.
