Outlook should have ability to attach notes to emails.

In addition to the follow up flags, it would be nice to be able to add notes
to an email message to express personal reactions, thoughts, etc about the
email without creating a reply. I.e. sticking one of those yellow "sticky
notes" to the email message.

I agree wholeheartedly. I am currently dying under an increasingly
overflowing box of emails.

When an email comes in I often need to write a 'to-do' list as a result of
the email - and then tick items off as they are done. I can write a sticky
label quite easily - but then that is remote from the email itself and I
finish up with 2 heaps of unmanageble things.

If it was just 'paper mail' coming in i would be easy to sort - maybe I
should just print out all the emails and stack them on the side of my desk.

Please MS - help me out here.

Here is an idea -

Drag the email to your tasks folder and then add your list of items to
accomplish. You can add deliverables to the item via a due date.

Milly - thats great - I tried it and it actually works - PLUS - it gives me
lot of other faciities too - so its 9.9/10 for you on this answer. You get
the extra 0.1 if you can get me a different colour flag to use as well as the
red one ..lol.

Great stuff though - well done.

Hey!
as for the colored flags try this, its not colored flages but colored
catagory. its in outlook2007 any way.
when you're in the inbox, hit the "choose columns" button (in the advanced
tool bar which contains Outlook today, the last button) choose "category"
column" now u can add colors squares to ur msgs ;-)

This was very helpful! Tooi bad I did not get to the site before I
researched add ons like Notes2...Which sounded good until I found out it did
not work with OL2007 or vista. Keep up the good work Milly. How did you
become an outlook MVP??

I was thinking the exact same thing. The Notes, Mail, and Tasks should
definitely be linked in functionality (i.e. Notes are stuck on Mail which are
linked to Tasks to be accessed as you go through your work).

Even though I like to use all of Outlook's tools, using more than one in
tandem is usually not worth the extra effort it takes to keep them manually
organized and synced.
