I had outlook express. I just got Offfice 2003 and installed it. It wiped
out outlook express.
Now I am trying to configure the new account but I can't figure out what to
put into the wizard under "outgoing mail server" It has been so long since
I had to set one of these up, I don't know what to put there.

Wrong group.

How did your OE get wiped? Office 2003 does not change it at all. It does
sent Outlook 2003 as the default mail client, however. I think you what you
meant was that the icon at the top of your start menu got changed from
Outlook Express to Outlook 2003. Click Start -> Run -> MSIMN and click OK

That should open OE.

Anyway, you are a Comcast subscriber in Washington state, according to your
post headers.

Try smtp.comcast.net

That should work without authentication as long as you are sending while
connected within the Comcast network. You will need a different
authenticated SMTP server if you wish to send mail when you are connected
through another service, such as a hotspot or a client's network.

Noip.com offers such as a service for a very low annual fee.
