Hello,
We are using outlook in the terminal servers through
citrix client connection. In the terminal server, users
lose their profiles from time to time and we have to get
the user log in to the system and set the mail server and
create profile for that outlook user. I am wondering if
there is any way to make these setting in the command
line.
Thanks,
Jim.

I use the Office Save Settings Wizard. I haven't found a commandline for
it, but you can easily set up office, save the settings to a file, and use
the wizard to restore it wherever/whenever you want.

Not your answer, but I would be looking at the why of lost settings if
this is a frequent occurance. There are some commercial tools that can
create once or every time the mail profile stuff.

Thanks for the reply. Where can I reach office save
setting wizard? I have never used that. Does outlook not
read these seeting from a file? I was thinking if
possible, overwrite the file each time user logs in.

Thnaks for the rep-ly. can you give me a site as an
example I will check it.

The one I used was an earlier (and maybe less expensive back then
<G>) version of AutoProf Profile Maker. Used to set up workstations
for users with OL97 and OL2000 and Exchange 5.5. Also for dynamic
profile generation on NT4 TermServ with Citrix for some (few)
clients. This was about 3+ years ago. Based on that experience of
that product then, I can recommend it for functionality. They had
good support too at that time. No really recent experience with this
product.

This tool is installed with Microsoft Office itself, I think since Office
2000.
