When we upgraded from Office2k to Office XP there was a
change in how Macros processed. Specifically we have a
Macro in an Excel spreadsheet that generates an EMail
when the Macro button is clicked. With XP this Macro now
generates an Alert prompting the user to allow the
sending application to open Outlook, regardless of
whether Outlook is open or not. If they accept this then
they receive an alert indicating that a Virus may be
attempting to send EMail. Once they click on OK to
proceed the Email is sent.

Is there a way around this? I have tried using the
SelfCert app to create a Digitial Certificate and assign
that to the Macro but it does not seem to help. We have
attempted to adjust Security and this also does not seem
to help.

Thank You

Yes, the Outlook Security Update...

- If you use the Exchange Server look on Sue
Mosher's Slipstick site for the
"Administrative Options for the Outlook E-mail
Security Update:"
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/admin.htm

- If your computer is kept up to date with a virus checker,
AND you keep your Internet Explorer patched up. However
this does remove that security for everything:

Express ClickYes 1.0.1
http://www.express-soft.com/mailmate/clickyes.html
Express ClickYes is a tiny program that sits in the System Tray and clicks
the Yes button on behalf of you, when Outlook's Security Guard opens prompt
dialog saying that a program is trying to send an email with Outlook or
access its address book. FREE download.

or to fix your code and write future apps:
