I have a problem that involves both Outlook and Access. We
have an Access program that collects data, cleans it up,
and then sends it out through the e-mail program. When the
office was on NT 4.0 with Office 97, the program worked
fine. We are now running Win 2K with Office XP and the
Outlook security measures, so someone has to respond to a
pop up that states another program is trying to send an e-
mail. This program sends out 90 e-mails and there are 5
programs that are done in a row. The process used to be
that the user would start the program and then do other
work for 20 minutes or so and then start the next program.
Now someone has to sit at the machine and hit the "yes"
button to respond to the pop ups. This makes the workload
too much for a single user to do the job because of the
time that is lost from doing other things while Access
sent out e-mails. I have set all security down to the bare
minimums because the e-mail is only brought up on this pc
when these programs are run, nobody uses the e-mail
regularly on it. I would have thought that the security
being set to the lowest level and all scripting enabled
would do the trick, but it must be a registry hack or
something. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
