I just bought Microsoft Office 2003 and when I try to pull up Outlook it says
I need a password before I can even see anything! I have never used it
before, but this was my father's computer but he said he never had a password
on any files! It will not let me in! Help!

What is the exact message, not paraphrased?

When i pull it up, a small box pops up that says you need a password to
access the folders and thats it. It will not let me click anywhere else on
the page in the backgroud, it just asks for the password.

Second time, what is the EXACT message, not paraphrased????

Courtney, by default there is no password protection to access outlook.
However, you can password protect the PST file that Outlook uses to
store your email, contact, etc.. This sounds like what has happened. If
you installed with default setting, this does not occur. You must, or
someone must have assigned a password to the PST file (personal folder).
I did a google search for your issues and came up with
http://www.slipstick.com/problems/lostpw.htm

Now, as Milly stated, without the exact message it is hard to know if
this is your issue. I am only going on your previous posts and what I
know to be true. Hope this helps.

There is no EXACT message it is just a box with a place to type in a password
and it says please enter your password to access your files. Thats all...

Well, thanks for that description - it is a password prompt box indicating that someone placed a password on the .pst file for security purposes.

You will need the password to access the file or you can google for password recovery tools. Depending on what is in the email, password recovery may be a whole lot more money than you want to spend to open that file.

If this is the first time you are using Outlook and you see this, then there
is a PST already on the computer, possibly one your father created. If you
have the PC now and don't need access to that PST, create a new mail profile
(http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm) and create yourself a new
PST in that profile using the Data Files button in the Mail applet in
Control Panel. This will start Outlook with fresh, empty folders.
