Outlook says I have an "error in the shortcut file (.fav)

Everytime I start up Outlook 2002 xp it reports I have an "error in the
shortcut file (.fav). Outlook will recreate the default folder shortcuts."
How can I fix this annoying problem? Can't find info on this anywhere!

With Outlook closed see if renaming the fav file helps.
