In the past week Outlook has started to require me to enter the personal
folders password twice. I run two versions of OUtlook on differnt machines
(2003 and 2007), and both do the same thing now. It's not a big deal, but
I'd like to know why it happens and how to fix it if possible

Do you have more than one message store opened in Outlook? The message
store for delivery must be open in Outlook to accept e-mails. However,
for example, you might be using auto-archiving and have that archive.pst
file also opened in Outlook, or you have some other .pst file opened in
Outlook for whatever reason. For each message store that you open in
Outlook that is password protected, you'll get prompted to enter its
password when Outlook attempts to open that message store.

This may be an AVG Virus scanner problem. AVG 8 had the problem for a while,
and AVG 9 now does also. They eventually fixed in 8. I am told that if you
disable the AVG Outlook component (e-mail scanner I think) the problems goes
away.
