Outlook -removing OExpress

Can Outlook Express be removed from his system
w/o causing any problems with sending/receiving/
storing email in Outlook??

No. Outlook requires Outlook Express.

With uninstalling OE out of the picture, do you know why OE keeps
presenting itself as the default mail program when the options tell it
not to?

I would have considered this user error, but after reading several
posts here and on tek-tips, it seems to common to be.

What can I have the user try to keep OE sitting quietly - and allow
him to use Outlook only?
 
As I read from Adam, he stated that "...Outlook requires OE". So actually, I
was hoping for a clarification from him, therefore I posed it as a question
myself. :-)
