Hi,

I am working on my Boss Outlook 2000. All updates have
been patched. The Outlook have been receiving multiple
duplicates of the same email since this morning 26/2/2004
(Singapore time 0800).

I have tried removing & reinstalling Outlook. I have tried
removing & reinstalling Office 2000. I have transferred
existing PST files to another location. I have removed &
recreated the Email Account profile. I keep receiving the
same emails. And i have not been able to pop my new mails,
although, by doing a web mail check, there are new mails
waiting to be downloaded.

We are on a POP mail network. Please assist or offer any
suggestions anyone. I have been working on this case for 4
hours now.

Is there only one POP3 account configured? Also try disabling (only during
troubleshooting) the virusscan and firewall on the client to make sure these
aren't the source of your issue.

Ok, I too am having this problem - but only with my one machine I upgaded to office 2003 SB

Here it is folks, tell me what I'm doing wrong

I have several email accounts and POP3 email servers I get my mail from..
I access these from several computers at different times in the day/week - SO in the outlook email account conf. I set the advanced feature to LEAVE A COPY on the server (so I can later download from a different pc and still have all my emails there as well)
This has worked great until recently (upgrade to offie 2003)- the pc I have at home still uses Office XP
From home, I download my emails (send/receive) and everythig is fine. I get all the emails I saw at work and those still new to me
After upgrading to OXP at the office, stil with the same accoutn settings (I think) to leave a copy on the servers, - my outlook inbox keeps downloading the same message - even after it's already there... multiple same emails. These are not new emails, they are just being recognized as new

Odd thing: when I open outlook - it seems to download EVERYTHING again on the servers... but only once... then if you close it and reload outlook - it'll do the same thing - download everything as new again (making multiple copies of a single email for each time you reopen outlook and recieve emails)..

What stupid little conf thing am I missing? or is it a bug? as I said before - my office XP outlook and 2000 do NOT do this, and I don't think I have done anything different..

(e-mail address removed)

I have just updated to OUTLOOK 2003. Since then this same e-mail repeat problem has been pestering my workstation. This was not occurring under the previous OUTLOOK 2000 with identical pop3 account settings. There are 2 such accounts and a hard firewall. This setup has not been changed either. The DSL modem hookup has not changed either

Does anyone have suggestions
