Outlook Pst size & Allow Upgrade to Large Tables

What is the advantage/disadvantage to this option? "Allow
Upgrade to Large Tables" is this for Exchange Servers
only??

Running Outlook 2000 on Windows 98.
 
Expands the potential number of records in a given folder by a factor of
about 4. It's not for Exchange Server at all, in fact it only applies to
Personal Folder Files (.PST).
