I realise that this has been discussed many times but i am still unable
to
make my Contacts file an outlook address book. The relevant box in
Contacts
Propoertiesis dimmed and canot be filled in.
Help pelase....

which was what you were told in the first response
Thanks, I ended up sorting it out with some help :
this is the info that solved it :
Step 2: Mark your contact folder for use with your address book
1. On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click
Properties
for
your folder name.
2. On the Outlook Address Book tab, click to select the Show
this
folder as an e-mail address book check box, type a descriptive name,
and
then click OK.

You need to configure your Outlook Address Book Service on the new
installation. Control Panel->Mail Icon->Accounts->Directories->Add.

After furious head scratching, Hi-Soft asked:
| If I copy the (outlook 2003) PST file from my desktop PC into the
| "Data file management" folder on my Laptop...all looks good an in
| sync except I am then unable to search for contacts in the address
| book...even though they ARE in there .. the "Type a contact to
find"
| search comes up blank !
|
|
| Anyone no why this is happening ?

| cheers,
