Don't understand this one at all.
Want to move my Outlook PST file to a different network location.
Copied the original PST file to the correct place and amended the file
location, but got a message "not a valid PST file".
So decided to create a new PST and import the old one.
Go through creating a new PST file, specify the location and the file
gets created but I can't use this new file because as soon as I try
exit out of the dialog where I created the new PST file I get a "not a
valid PST file"!
Yes this is for a newly created, empty PST file!
Any ideas as to what is going on?

Make sure the read only attribute of the file is removed ( right click
properties)
also you could try OPENING not importing the file as an Outlook Data File
File- Open- Outlook Data File

I'm not trying to open an existing pst file at this point, just trying
to create a new one. The problem comes after I create the new pst
file; I get the message "The file <filename> is not a personal folders
file" - I've only just created it!
I have read/write access to the folder; I can create a Word document
and save it to and open it from the same folder.
I can't figure out why Outlook creates a file and then says it's
invalid.
