Outlook .pst files

After loading Outlook into new computer and opening my current .pst file from
the old computer in the new one, I only have email from years 2005 & 2006,
nothing after that date. Do you have any suggestions as to what I am doing
wrong?

Nothing - the pst file you are opening obviously only has emails from 2005
and 2006 in it...
 
If you don't have several pst-files you know of this particular one could be corrupted. You can try fixing it with the inbox repair tool. Another way is to search through your pst file(s), if there are any messages younger than 2006 which are in some way just not displayed. I'd recommend a small tool called Lookeen (www.lookeen.net). Helped me out a lot...
